ePortfolio Consultant Work - Data180
I performed six months of contract work for Data180 to create documentation for their post-secondary ePortfolio software Faculty180. I helped create the processes for this work and worked to streamline and maintain this documentation as I created it. This company is completely online, which is exciting, but also made us be a little more creative in our meetings and work. We did everything online and between time differences, things like Google Drive, email, phone calls, and Redmine became essential.
Canvas Learning Management System - Landmark High School, Nebo School District
I spent six months as the Canvas Administrator for Landmark High School. I planned and implemented this Learning Management System (LMS) for the school from scratch, including data mining, organizing, uploading, and troubleshooting. We were the first high school, and the first school, in Nebo School District to start a school-wide LMS system. We went live with this system at the start of our third term in January 2014 for a small number of teachers and then went school-wide for fourth term starting in March 2014.
I worked to create guidelines for using Canvas as a school, created course shells for all teachers and classes as well as the process of creating and maintaining them. I trained all faculty and staff, and my own students, on how to use Canvas on their own and within the classroom through one-on-one tutoring, classroom instruction, presentations, and a Canvas course.

Institutional Effectiveness & Planning - Utah Valley University
I spent six months working in the Executive Division at Utah Valley University as a Program and Administrative Assistant for Institutional Effectiveness and Planning.
I created the Institutional Effectiveness & Planning website from scratch, including all pages, banners and design. I edited internal and external documents and websites for consistency, grammar, and look and feel. I created a Planning Course within the Learning Management System Canvas and helped publish an Institutional Planning document. I designed photographic banners, new webpages, Captivate instructional videos, Email templates, and collect content media.
I did research in University Planning, troubleshooting, created descriptions and documentation, analyzed, and guided directors and professors through our planning and assessment software, Insight (Compliance-Assist). I reviewed, edited, and contributed to the visual consistency of the Institutional Indicators website, a collaboration between Institutional Research and Institutional Effectiveness and Planning. I worked with Academic Assessment in creating their website, keeping it up to date, creating word and online forms as well as marketing documents, and assist anyone in academics with the Insight software.
I also answered phone calls, directed foot traffic, processed travel plans, ordered supplies, and set up meetings and interviews.
